What we do
Services that get a game made — and get it to Asia.
Four ways we work with tabletop creators: design, localization for Asia, consulting and publishing. Pick the one you need now, or hand us the whole journey from prototype to shelf.
01
Game Design
Who it's for
Designers with a concept or a rough prototype that needs to become a real product.
We take an idea — a mechanic, a theme, a half-built prototype — and turn it into a game that holds up at the table and survives the factory floor. Every design decision is checked against two questions: does it make the next turn worth taking, and can it actually be manufactured at your target price?
// WHAT WE DELIVER
- Core loop and mechanics design or rework
- Component spec built for real manufacturing
- Rulebook structure, edge cases and reference cards
- Iterative prototypes ready to put in front of players
02
Our edgeLocalization for Asia
Who it's for
Publishers bringing a finished or near-finished game into Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese and Japanese markets.
This is what we do better than anyone working from outside the region. We localize into Traditional & Simplified Chinese and Japanese — not just the text, but the cultural references, the humour and the framing that decide whether a game feels native or imported. We handle the hard category too: games where the puzzle is the component. In escape-room and clue games, a pun, a hidden word or a folded card can be the entire solve, so a careless translation does not read awkwardly — it breaks the game. We rebuild those puzzles to work in the target language, and we do it alongside trusted Asian partners who know the local shelf.
// WHAT WE DELIVER
- Traditional Chinese · Simplified Chinese · Japanese editions
- Cultural adaptation of names, references, humour and tone
- Puzzle and component re-engineering for escape-room / clue games
- Coordination with Asian partners, printers and reviewers
03
Consulting
Who it's for
Teams who have a game in progress and want it sharper before it ships.
Bring us your ruleset and your prototype. We cut the rules that confuse, balance the mechanics that wobble, and run blind playtests with players who have never met you and owe your game nothing. You get an honest read on what works, what drags and what to fix before it is expensive to change.
// WHAT WE DELIVER
- Ruleset review and rewrite for clarity
- Mechanics and balance tuning
- Blind playtesting with fresh players
- Written report with prioritised fixes
04
Publishing & Production
Who it's for
Creators who need a game made, funded and on tables across Asia.
We manage print, components, assembly and fulfilment, and we open the route into Asian markets — including crowdfunding on platforms like Zeczec in Taiwan and Makuake in Japan, plus retail distribution. You get a single team handling the factory, the campaign and the path to the shelf instead of stitching together vendors across time zones.
// WHAT WE DELIVER
- Print, components and assembly management
- Quality control at the factory
- Fulfilment and logistics planning
- Route to Asian crowdfunding (Zeczec · Makuake) and retail
How we work
A clear path from idea to table.
-
1
Validate
We pressure-test the idea and the audience before anything gets expensive.
-
2
Design
Mechanics, components and rules built to be made, not just to look good on a slide.
-
3
Test
Blind playtesting with real players, then cut what doesn't earn its place.
-
4
Deliver
Production, localization and a path to backers, stores and tables.
Working together
Engagement models, priced to fit the work.
// MODEL
Project
Fixed scope, defined deliverable. Best for a single game from prototype to production, or one localized edition.
// MODEL
Retainer
Monthly hours for ongoing design or localization work across a line of titles or a long campaign.
// MODEL
Consultation
A one-off paid session when you mainly need a sharp outside read on rules, balance or market fit.
// PRICING
We scope and quote per project.
Every game carries its own scope — languages, component count, print run, how much of the road we walk with you. Tell us what you're making and we'll come back with a clear number and what sits behind it.
Questions from overseas buyers
What partners abroad ask first.
How much does our timezone overlap?
Hong Kong is GMT+8. We hold morning and evening hours that overlap with both European afternoons and US-Pacific mornings, so most weeks we share live working time with you on either continent. Anything outside that runs async with same-day written updates.
Do you work in fluent English?
Yes. We run projects, rulebooks and contracts in English, and we localize outward into Chinese and Japanese. Working with us in English is the normal case, not the exception.
How do you handle NDA and IP?
We sign your NDA before we see anything confidential, and we work happily under one. Your IP stays yours: our agreements assign all design and localization deliverables to you, and we never reuse your material on another project.
What currency and payment terms do you use?
We invoice in USD, HKD or EUR and accept international bank transfer. Project work is typically split across milestones rather than paid all at once, so payment tracks delivery.
Can you handle Asia manufacturing and quality control?
Yes. We manage printing and assembly through manufacturers we work with directly, and we run quality control at the factory rather than trusting it to photos. You get checked samples before a full run is approved.
Which engagement models do you offer?
Three. Fixed-scope projects for a defined deliverable, a monthly retainer for ongoing design or localization work, and one-off paid consultations when you mainly need a sharp outside read.
